The Bourbon Room

2020, though a very tough year, came with many great projects. One of which gave me the pleasure of getting to shoot on film once again.

The Bourbon Room, directed by Gianna Isabella, is a dark comedy pitch piece shot in Toronto.

When first discussing the piece with Gianna, we settled on the idea of shooting film, not only for the aesthetic, but also to stay true to the medium that would have been used when this piece was set, in the 1990's.

We shot Kodak 7219 500T stock, on the Arri 416 with Super Speeds, provided by Keslow Camera.

The shoot certainly presented its challengers, as all night exteriors shot on film do... but the results came out great, thanks to a solid team effort from everyone involved!
